City of Richmond

The city of Richmond maintains a website with helpful information such as the Municipal Code, city staff and elected official contact information, and the COR Connect system for reporting problems such as illegal dumping.

Mayor Tom Butt regularly posts city information to his eforum, and at that site, you can sign up to receive email updates. Point Richmond is contained in recently created Council District 2. Our district has not yet elected a city council member; the first district election for our district will occur in November 2022 under the staggered schedule adopted by City Council. For more information about the recently created districts, see the city’s webpage. You can also view a map of the districts.

You may also the city’s FAQ page to find answers to frequently asked questions.

City Planning

The City of Richmond Planning Division handles design and land use decisions for developments throughout the city, including our neighborhood. Relevant boards and commissions include the Historic Preservation Commission, the Design Review Board, and the Planning Commission. For information about the PRNC’s role in development decisions, see our LUDRC page.

Richmond Neighborhood Coordinating Council

The Richmond Neighborhood Coordinating Council is the umbrella organization for the neighborhood councils in Richmond.
