Point Richmond has a number of community organizations with charitable or community-oriented missions.

Arts of Point Richmond

Arts of Point Richmond is a volunteer association established to enrich our community by promoting support, appreciation of and exposure for the Arts. It provides exhibition opportunities for members and creates events organized by an active coalition of artists. Members also participate via a monthly Newsletter, online Member Gallery, and by forming ad hoc groups. (Due to current pandemic restrictions, some exhibits and events may be online.) The Masquers Playhouse

Celebrating 65 years of live theater in Richmond, the Masquers Playhouse is a volunteer-powered, non-profit community theatre that produces and stages affordable plays and other live theatrical events for the entertainment and cultural enhancement of Richmond and the greater Bay Area. It provides a creative outlet for amateur theatre people, exercises sound financial management, encourages audience participation and involvement, and seeks to foster a strong community identity.

 

 

 

 

Point Richmond Business Association

The Point Richmond Business Association works to support businesses in downtown Point Richmond.

Parents, Resources & More (PRAM)

PRAM (Parents, Resources & More) is an inclusive, volunteer-run non-profit organization formed in 1998 to support families with young children living in the Greater Richmond Area. PRAM facilitates playgroups, youth classes and family social gatherings, rents its Fieldhouse for family-oriented parties and events, and offers a safe, enclosed playground and garden in Downtown Point Richmond.

Point Richmond History Association

The Point Richmond History Association promotes awareness about Point Richmond’s history. The Association’s museum, located on Washington Avenue, contains collections of photographs and objects detailing Point Richmond’s history.

The History Association took a lead role in constructing the information kiosk at the corner of West Richmond and Washington Avenues and in rehabilitating the railroad wigwags, a historic feature of Point Richmond.

Point Richmond Table Tennis Club

There is ping pong every Monday at the Point San Pablo Yacht Club, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

We have two tables and friendly beginner to intermediate players.

Red Oak Victory

The Red Oak Victory is a restored World War II Victory ship that was built in the Richmond shipyards. The ship has a new life as a floating museum, and tours are available. The ship also hosts fundraising events like the pancake breakfast and movie nights aboard the ship. The ship also has space available for hosting events such as parties, weddings, and bar mitzvahs.

Richmond Tennis Association

The Richmond Tennis Association has a mission to improve the healthy lifestyles for Richmond residents of all ages through active participation in vigorous tennis programs along with enhanced facilities and adjacent parks. The RTA focuses on youth programs and rehabilitated numerous tennis courts within the city.

TRAC

TRAC, the Trails for Richmond Action Committee, was formed in July 1999, with its mission to:

  1. Compete the San Francisco Bay Trail in Richmond, assuring that it is linked to public parks and population centers and maintained in perpetuity and
  2. Promote use and enjoyment of the Bay Trail by all who live and work in Richmond and as a visitor attraction to showcase the City of Richmond’s shoreline.

Women’s Westside Improvement Club

The WWIC is a volunteer civic organization that works on projects that will benefit our neighborhood. Past projects include reconstruction of the Indian statute in downtown and the map garden near the fire station.
