Spirit of 45 Pancake Breakfast 2024

On August 11, celebrate the end of World War II and the spirit of 1945 with breakfast on Red Oak Victory. Freshly made pancakes, sausage, bacon, and scrambled eggs will be accompanied by apple slices, coffee and orange juice. And Mimosas are available for our adult patrons for an extra fee. You can then tour the Red Oak Victory and work off some of those extra calories.
You’ll be entertained during breakfast by live 1940s music performed by the Lovin’ Harmony Trio. We’re encouraging our visitors to dress like the 1940s and we’ll have a contest selecting the best civilian and military clothing. But, if dressing up is not your thing, you are also welcome to just come-as-you-are and enjoy a beautiful Sunday by the Bay.
Your breakfast is only $15 for adults and $5 for children 8 and under. Breakfast service begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. As an added bonus, a limited number of same-day docent-guided tours of the ship are available at a discounted rate with your breakfast purchase. Breakfast ends at 1:00 PM but the ship remains open for our guests until 4:00 PM.
To make a full weekend of World War II commemoration, you can wear your 1940s clothing for the Spirit of 45 Bay Area event at History San Jose on Saturday, August 10. The event features a World War II military encampment, a swingin’ big band, and a 1940s fashion show. And be sure to visit the Red Oak Victory booth while you’re there. Red Oak Victory is ideally situated for panoramic views of the entire San Francisco Bay and adjacent cities. After breakfast, enjoy a tour of the ship or just sit, chat with new friends, and enjoy the view. Breakfast ends at 1:00 PM but the ship remains open for our guests until 4:00 PM.
