Miller-Knox Regional Shoreline Park
Miller-Knox Regional Shoreline Park, part of the East Bay Regional Park District, is located within the boundaries of the Point Richmond neighborhood. On the eastern side of Dornan Drive, you can hike in the hills up to Nicholl Knob and experience expansive views of the city of Richmond, San Francisco, and the bay; native wildflowers, such as blue eyed grass in the spring; and wildlife including deer, wild bees, and songbirds. Begin or end this hike with a beer at East Brother Beer Co., which is located near the trailhead on Canal Boulevard. You an also tour the Golden State Model Railroad Museum near the trailhead on Dornan Drive.
On the western side of Dornan Drive, you can enjoy a flat and paved path, a part of the San Francisco Bay Trail, circling a pond where shore and water birds, such as pelicans, egrets and sea gulls, are a regular sight. Picnic areas, playgrounds, and bathroom facilities are also located in this portion of the park.
The park also includes access to Ferry Point Pier, a popular fishing spot.
Keller Beach
Keller Beach, a part of the Miller-Knox Shoreline Park, offers access to the San Francisco Bay for swimmers, kayakers, beachcombers, and others, with bathroom facilities and outdoor showers. The latest water quality information is posted by the EBRPD online and on signage at the beach.
Coastal Conservancy Access Points
There are several Coastal Conservancy Access Points throughout Point Richmond, including beach access and scenic overlooks.
Point Molate Beach Park
Point Molate offers a public beach in an undeveloped setting.
