DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the 6th National Chess Day at the Richmond Chess Festival on Saturday\, October 25th\, at 10 AM at Cobiz in Richmond\, CA.\n\n\nIt’s that time again! Join the West Coast Chess Alliance on Saturday\, October 25th\, from 10 AM to 5 PM at COBIZ Richmond for the 6th Annual Richmond Chess Festival — a free\, family-friendly celebration of Chess in Richmond Month and National Chess Day! \nWhether you’re brand new to the game or an experienced player\, there’s something for everyone. Come out for a day full of learning\, laughter\, and community connection — all centered around the game of chess. \nFree weekend parking is available at BART and on nearby streets. \n \n🗓️ Schedule of Events\nOn-Site Registration: 10:00 – 11:00 AMCheck in and get ready for a day full of chess and community.In-person check-in is required; participation is not guaranteed if you arrive after 11:00 AM. \nIntroduction to Chess Class: 10:00 – 10:45 AMPerfect for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their skills. \nChallenge a First Responder: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PMLocal youth will have the chance to play a friendly match against a City of Richmond First Responder — always a crowd favorite! \nQuad Tournament (G30\, Non-Rated): 12:30 – 3:30 PMPairings announced at 12:15 PM.
