SUMMARY:Western Swing 2025 Pancake Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:Something different on Red Oak Victory! Enjoy live Western Swing music by the Aaron Burnham Trio and a fresh\, hot Pancake Breakfast!\n\n\nWe’re going to try something a little different from a musical standpoint for our July 13 Pancake Breakfast. Western Swing music was popular throughout the service life of Red Oak Victory and we’re bringing it back with live music by the popular Aaron Burnham Trio. If you’re not familiar with it\, Western Swing is a blend of swing\, country-western\, and jazz and provides great music to dance to. Western Swing fans often dress the part of classic Hollywood cowboys and therefore part of our breakfast event will be a Western Swing Costume Contest! (If you need ideas just Google 1940s-50s Western Swing outfits.) \nAs usual\, you will enjoy freshly made pancakes\, sausage\, bacon\, and scrambled eggs accompanied by apple slices\, coffee and orange juice. And Mimosas are available for our adult patrons for an extra fee. You can then tour the Red Oak Victory historic ship and work off some of those extra calories. SUMMARY:Breeze to Victory Half Marathon\, 10K & 5K
DESCRIPTION:RUN ALONG THE SCENIC SAN FRANCISCO BAY TRAIL!\nAs part of the World War II home front efforts\, hundreds of ships were built here\, including 142 Victory ships (the Red Oak Victory is still there and can be visited). It was also the site of the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant\, built in 1930 and by 1942 converted to assemble jeeps\, tanks and other military vehicles. Thousands of dedicated women and men worked to create the means necessary to ensure our victory. It’s from their spirit of hard work and determination that we’ve named this race and hope to inspire excellence in all our runners. \nStarting at the historic Craneway Pavilion\, all distances will run out along the San Francisco Bay Trail with breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay\, the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges\, and Mt. Tamalpais. The courses are flat and fast making them great for beginners or runners looking to set a personal record. \nFor more info and to register\, go to https://brazenracing.com/victory/?utm_source=Master+List&utm_campaign=769d605b06-starsandstripes2monthsout_2019_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_e0e8c6acf6-769d605b06-149000125
