DESCRIPTION:Support the Ship and Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the launch of the Red Oak Victory.  Dinner\, Dancing\, Live Music and More!\n\n\nGive a gift to Red Oak Victory on her birthday!\n \nEighty years ago\, USS Red Oak Victory was launched down the ways at Kaiser-Richmond Shipyard No. 1. Shortly thereafter\, she was commissioned as a US Navy fleet ammunition carrier\, AK-235\, and served in the Pacific Theater in World War II. Now she is the last surviving product of the Kaiser-Richmond shipyards and a museum ship serving as a historical resource for the Bay Area and the country as a whole. To celebrate our historic ship’s past\, we’re giving you an opportunity to make a big difference in her future. \n \nHelp raise funds for Red Oak Victory’s future!\nOn November 9 (the actual date that Red Oak Victory was launched)\, we’re sponsoring a fundraiser featuring a first-class dinner\, dancing\, and live 1940s swing music by well-known Bay Area star Nick Rossi. This memorable evening will take place on Red Oak Victory and is just $100 per plate ($108.55 with ticketing fees) or $600 for a table for six (no buyer-paid ticketing fees). The money you spend for this dinner-dance fundraiser goes to support Red Oak Victory and her parent organization\, the Richmond Museum Association\, which is also celebrating its 70th Anniversary. \nDinner Menu (Catered by Richmond favorite Golden Gate Bistro Restaurant!): \nEntrees:· Chicken Piccata – Pan seared chicken with white wine sauce\, butter\, lemon\, capers· Braised Short Ribs \nVegan and Gluten free options:· Seasonal Market Vegetables /Fresh Herbs· Vegetable Quinoa Medley – Beets\, cauliflower\, mushroom\, brussels sprouts & quinoa tossed together w/ a citrus vinaigrette & topped w/lemon zest (for a vegan option\, goat cheese on the side)· Kale & Romaine Caesar Salad (for a vegan option\, dressing can be left off) \nDessert:Richmond’s Bubbaloo Cafe is donating lemon bars\, brownie bites and chocolate chip cookies! \nBar service:No host bar by Richmond’s own The Factory Bar will include beer\, wine\, and cocktails including wines donated by our neighbors at Carica Wines. \nNot only will you enjoy dinner and dancing but the ship will be open for tours as well. You’ll be able to visit the bridge\, the captain’s quarters\, the original radio room\, the deck guns\, and even peer down into the engine room.
